Letter from the President - June 2014

Dear members,

At last the seemingly never ending winter is behind us and most members are planning warm weather activities; many of which will include traveling with the commensurate drop off in the use of club facilities. Accordingly, there will be no regular monthly membership meetings nor regular monthly department Website updates during July and August. That being said, announcements concerning specific events, etc., will be posted on the Website throughout the summer.

As a closing subject of this report I wish to remind all members that your suggestions are strongly encouraged concerning possible membership meeting events of interest or possible membership social functions. The persons responsible for both categories and their contact details are posted on the ASC Website.

Throughout the year various members comment that they would like to see the club do more in both categories. However, if someone only complains but does not offer suggestions those complaints are of little value. Therefore, I encourage all ASC members to make the minimal effort required to put forth suggestions for BOD consideration

On behalf of your Board of Directors I wish you and your families a relaxing, enjoyable and above all a safe summer and we look forward to seeing as many members as possibleat the June membership meeting and again when the monthly membership meetings commence on the second Thursday in September.
