Youth Firearms Safety
Submitted by asc-admin on February 24, 2024 - 11:58am
- Youth Firearms Safety Class for ASC members' children and guests 8 - 17 years old.
- This class will introduce young people to safe fire arms use and handling. Students will learn how to safely load, unload, and fire a firearm. There will be strong emphasis on safety best practices throughout. It will begin upstairs in the classroom setting, and will finish in the indoor range where each student will have a hands on opportunity to shoot. The class is for Club members’ families only. At completion of the course, children will receive a certificate and range badge. (The Youth badge is required prior to firearms range use.)
- A parent MUST attend the ENTIRE class with their children, and will be required to sign a liability waiver at the beginning of the class.
- Firearms and ammunition (.22-caliber, single-shot rifle) will be provided by the club. Parents should bring eye and ear protection for themselves and students, if possible.
- You must sign your student up in advance. To view available dates and register for this class, please check the calendar.
