Deep Sea Fishing Trip with Connemara Bay Fishing Charters LLC (“CB Charters”) from Gloucester Harbor. CB Charters specializes in inshore: sight-seeing cruises, Stripe Bass and Blue fishing, lobster trap hauling and clambakes and offshore: whale watching, Cod and Haddock deep sea fishing, Tuna and Shark Big Game Fishing.

There will be two boats at the disposal of club members divided into 6 members per boat. If 12 members signup we will be going in tandem. There is actually no limit to the number of persons that can sign up for either outing, however only a maximum of 12 can go at one time. 

The full day fishing consists of a full day 9 hours of fishing or a half day 6 hour trip. This outing is for adults or youth 12 years of age or older. A parent or adult guardian must accompany those 17 and under. You may bring a cooler with your own drinks and snacks. CB Charters will provide everything needed for fishing as well as a full time mate whose sole responsibility is to assist everyone including those that may not have any prior fishing experience. The mate will also clean and package fish to take home.

Costs & Charter Agreements - Because the costs are on a boat rather than a per person basis if someone, finds that he or she must cancel, it will be that person’s responsibility to find an alternate participant otherwise that will be unfair to the other five persons in the same boat as the per boat fee will be divided by 5 instead of 6 participants. Signups will be made first come first serve for specific dates and time.  Fishing dates are typically throught the month of August.

• Full Day 9 hours - The all-inclusive cost per boat for Deep Sea Fishing) is approximately $1,350  (plus a $270 mandatory 20% tip to the mate) for a total of $1,620 per boat.  Average cost is $270/person (based upon 6 members).  [These figures are based upon 2023 rates]
• Half Day 6 hours - The all-inclusive cost per boat for Deep Sea Fishing is approximately $900  (plus a $180 mandatory 20% tip to the mate) for a total of $1,080 per boat.  Average cost is $180/person (based upon 6 members).  [These figures are based upon 2023 rates]

Reservation Required - a link will be provided for you to sellect the date and full/half day desired. A deposit is required in the amount of either $112.50/Full day or $75/half day [These figures are based upon 2023 rates]  Once registered, please make your deposit payable to CB Charters and either mail your check to: Bob Cochran, Andover Sportsmen’s Club, Inc. P.O. Box 255, Andover, Ma  01810 or drop your check in the gold mail slot in the office door in the clubhouse meeting area. The balance of the boat fee will be due upon arrival plus the 20% tip for mate after the fishing.

Coordination - One person in each group of six will be nominated as the contact person for their boat. Each contact person will be provided all CB Charters owner contact details and will be responsible for disseminating the information with the other boat mates.  Each contact person will be informed by CB Charters approximately two days prior to each scheduled OUTING informing them of what the weather will be like, what time the they should be at the wharf, what clothes they should wear, etc. That information can then be passed on to the contact person's 5 boat mates.

Inclement Weather - If the Captain of any boat determines that due to weather conditions, the trip cannot go as planned an alternative date for all six persons will be immediately scheduled as agreed by the six members involved.
