Letter from the President - May 2014

Dear ASC Members,

As most of you will have noted we are in a very busy period on a number of fronts including but not restricted to:

• Various shooting range special events;
• Numerous training programs for youths as well as adults in multiple disciplines;
• Impressive improvements to, and expansion of, our physical facilities in order to keep pace with our growing membership;
• The forthcoming spring work party to which I hope each of you will show your appreciation to the few that do so much for us all by showing up to assist as needed;
• A well organized community youth fishing derby that was surprisingly well attended considering that mother nature was not as cooperative as one would have preferred;
• The processing of a continuing tide of quality new member applicants;
• The establishing of two initiatives for which the members that have agreed to be responsible will be introduced at the May 8th membership meeting. One initiative is to arrange a series of guest speakers and other events that may add to the interest of our monthly membership meetings. The second is a dedicated effort to organize club wide social events we hope will be appealing to all members.

As always, all of the above mentioned activities are being undertaken in a disciplined and fiscally sound manner.
