Trap Knockout Tournament

We will be hosting a Trap Knockout Tournament on Saturday, November 15 at 11:30am (rain date is Sunday, November 16th at 12pm).

This is a doubles team Knockout trap tournament. In each match you and your teammate shoot head to head against an opposing team. The trap machine is on doubles so two clays come out on each pull. You shoot the left bird, your team mate shoots the right bird (or vice versa). You alternate 5 pulls with the opposing team at each station. The team with the most kills at a station wins the station. The first team to win 3 stations wins the match and advances to the next round in the tournament bracket. The losing team moves to the consolation bracket and shoots at least one more match there. You can lose a match but still win the tournament!

Anybody can win because we handicap each team based on past trap scores. Weaker shooters in each match gets extra "pulls" to even up the match.  You do not need to be a crack shot to participate or win this tournament. ANYBODY CAN WIN. This is not a cutthroat competition, just a relaxing good time.

This is double elimination so every team shoots at least two matches. Many team will shoot 3 or 4 matches.

Limited to 20 people, club members only. You can sign up as a team (father-son, husband-wife, friend-friend, etc) or as an individual (we’ll match you up with a teammate on game day.)

If you enjoy any kind of head to head competition such as Adios, golf, tennis, poker, you will love knockout. Come on and give it a try. We'll grill lunch and serve refreshments. We take up a small collection to cover the food and a small winner's pot. Your card is punched once for each match you shoot.
