Red Cross First Aid/CPR/AED Course

This course is to provide adult ASC members with Red Cross sponsored training in First Aid, CPR, and the use of AED's. An option to receive a Red Cross certification is available.

The program teaches participants the knowledge and skills needed to give immediate care to an injured or ill person and to decide whether advanced medical care is needed. This program offers a choice of first aid, cardiopulmonary rescuscitation (CPR) and automated external defribillator (AED) curricula to meet the various training needs of a diverse audience.

The American Red Cross issues a certification of completion. To acquire one you MUST select the certification "Add On" when registering for this class on EventBrite. The fee of $42 will be transmitted to the American Red Cross after the class.

A $0 option without opting-in for the certification is offered to ASC members who want to learn the knowledge and skills, but do not otherwise have the need or desire for a certification.

About the Instructor: Shawn White, an ASC member, is a certified American Red Cross Instructor with a deep-rooted passion for public safety and emergency preparedness. From his service in the armed forces to his years of life guarding aquatics & community events, Shawn has spent years protecting and supporting others. As the founder of White & Sons Safety Training, he delivers hands-on, high-impact BLS, CPR, AED, and First Aid certification courses designed to keep citizens ready to respond.
