Starting at 3pm, all ASC members and their families are invited to join us for an afternoon of traditional field day events – sack race, three-legged race, etc. (on the Trap fields), with prizes!   The horseshoe pit (near BBQ area), croquet area (Archery Practice Range), ladder ball (near BBQ area), and corn-hole sets (Grassy area adjacent to Trap #1) will be available for use throughout the afternoon, and into the evening!  Kids can use sidewalk chalk in a roped off area in the parking lot, and some art supplies can be set up on the outdoor archery range bench and/or inside the clubhouse. If it rains most of the events will be moved to the Indoor Archery Building.

Frank and his BBQ crew will be serving hamburgers, hot dogs, with all the fixings, (4:30pm to 5:00pm). We will have a s’mores station set up at the fire pit (All Day).

We encourage everyone to bring lawn chairs, and/or blankets so you can choose an area to watch the races, enjoy the BBQ, s’mores, and fire pits, and also to meet other members.

• setup & clean-up
• trap field races
• crafts area

ASC Ladies Night - More Rifles
Thursday June  16, 2022 
6:30pm - 7:30pm at Outdoor Rifle Range

ASC pistol instructors will review safety and skills necessary to use assorted rifles on the outdoor range in a comfortable learning environment. This event is open to women only. 'More Rifles' will include various caliber rifles available to test if you do not have one of your own. 

Brand New/Beginners - geared to women who are brand new to shooting and are interested in learning skills to safely use a rifle.

Intermediate/Advanced - geared to women who are comfortable handling their firearm safely, and are interested in developing accuracy skills.

Ladies Event - Rifles June 16, 2022

Unfortunately due to anticipated demand, we only offer these events to ASC members or direct relatives of members (wife/mother/daughter/sister/granddaughter/daughter-in-law).

The Rifle Range will be closed for this event from 6pm till 8pm.

Beginner Instructional Trap from 6pm till 8pm Monday nights!  - See Calender *

This slower paced class is intended for less experienced trap shooters who have taken our “Intro to Trap”, or our “Intro to Shotgun” class or have experience with their own shotgun but may feel overwhelmed by the fast pace or the mass crowds of the regular trap days.  In this class, you will shoot full rounds of trap (25 targets) just like on regular days, but at a pace where you can focus more on proper shooting techniques without worrying if you are “holding up the line.” You will be observed and instructed by a NRA Certified Shotgun Instructor and Coache.

THIS CLASS IS NOT FOR EXPERIENCED SHOOTERS LOOKING FOR ANOTHER NIGHT OF TRAP!!!

How it works:

• There is no eventbrite sign-up - Just show-up to the trap field
• You do not have to attend all dates
• On your first night, you will be given a short class, then you will shoot.  On later dates you will just shoot and other students who are there for their first night will take the class.
• Student must provide their own shotgun and ammunition. [Each box of ammo is 1 round of trap(25)].
• Recommended shotshell size: 2 1/2 Dram(1145 fps.) – 1 1/8oz loads of #8 shot
• The class is free, however, there is a $3 fee for the targets.
• The class is secheduled for six weeks, however, it may continue longer dependant upon interest to do so.

The Andover Sportsmen's Club is hosting a fireworks show for  its members and their families on Friday July 1st at 9:00pm. All ranges will be closed at 4:00pm. The viewing area includes the Trap shelters and the main parking lot and the Archery practice field. Restrooms are available in the clubhouse. No food or beverages will be provided by the club, so please bring your own.  This event is not for the public.
