NRA Basic Rifle Class

This is a basic introductory rifle course designed for the beginner / first-time rifle shooter. This course will be held in the ASC Clubhouse on Saturday, June 24th from 8am till 4pm. There will be a live-fire practical held on the Training Range.

Course material will include:

  1. Rifle Knowledge
  2. Safe Gun Handling
  3. Ammunition Knowledge
  4.  Fundamentals of Rifle Shooting
  5.  Firing the First Shots
  6. Scoring Targets
  7. Selecting and Maintaining a Rifle
  8. Opportunities for Skill Development
  9. Kneeling, Sitting and Prone Positions
