Special Membership Meeting and New Member Orientation

Please note that the scheduled membership meeting on Thursday, February 9th was cancelled due to there being an insufficient number of members present to reach a quorum. For this reason, as no members were voted in, there will be NO new members orientation on Sunday, February 12th.

A Special Membership Meeting will be held on the following Sunday, February 19th at 9am for the sole purpose of the membership voting in potential new members. Directly following this meeting there will be a new members orientation for those new members voted in.

Salute to Bill LeBlanc

There will be a salute to Bill LeBlanc at the outdoor rifle range Sunday, November 13th at 9am. It is preferred you bring a shotgun, but rifles will be allowed, for the salute to Bill.

2016 Fall Work Party

We will be having our 2016 Fall Work Party on October 29th!

Breakfast is from 8am to 9am (free), work starts at 9am, we break for lunch at noon (also free), we finish up jobs after lunch and are generally done by 3pm. All ranges are closed until 3pm.

People are needed for all typical work party projects, including:

  • Cleaning kitchen
  • Cleaning windows
  • Field clean up at outdoor range
  • Field clean up at Trap range including hanging nets, picking up "whole" clays, etc.
  • Path clean up at Archery
  • Use of club backpack blower to clean walkways, drive, etc.
  • Power washing: parking lot stains, concrete stains, kitchen exhaust ducts, etc.
  • Wood cutting, splitting, stacking
  • Your insight, advice, suggestions are welcomed even if you don't want to do some of the heavy "lifting"

Tools needed:

  • Power washing equipment (ideally gasoline powered)
  • Containers of gasoline
  • Rakes, shovels, brooms, leaf blowers
  • Any other useful tools

Passing of William (Bill) E. LeBlanc, Junior

The club regrets to share the news of the loss of Bill LeBlanc:

William E. LeBlanc, Jr. of Revere, formerly of Stoneham, Danvers, Peabody and most recently of Naples. FL, died at the VA Hospice, Unit 2C in Bedford on Friday, October, 21, 2016 after a brief but valiant battle with cancer. He was 83.

Mr. LeBlanc was a lifetime member of the Andover Sportsman Club of Andover where he formerly served for many years as Rifle Range Director, and was a member of the Andover Sportsman Club Board of Directors.

Interment of ashes at Woodlawn Cemetery with Military Honors
