Baba Yaga Blowout

The Baba Yaga Blowout is a timed/scored event with three shooting phases... Pistol, Rifle, and Rifle/Pistol.  Participants must use their own firearms, ammunition, hearing and eye protection.  The Club will provide Range Safety Officers. This is a timed/scored event which must be completed in 3 minutes. Participants will shoot from a standing, unsupported position forward of the firing line and from 3 different stations:

  1. Station 1 - Pistol: Competitor has to score stacked hits on each of the 5 steel targets at a distance of 25 yards. Each magazine will have 5 rounds therefore a magazine change will be required.
  2. Station 2 - Rifle: Competitor has to score hits from behind a barrier onto a single steel target at a distance of 50 yards.
  3. Station 3 - Rifle/Pistol: Competitor has to score 10 rifle hits and 10 pistol hits onto a single IPSC target located at 25 yards. Each magazine will have 5 rounds therefore magazine changes will be required.

  • Failure to complete all stages, or exceed the total time will result in a disqualification.
  • Scoring is based on successful completion of ALL rounds, cumulative score on the IPSC target, and total elapsed time will be used in the event of  a tie.
  • Participants are required to use proper/safe shooting techniques and firearms management.
  • There is no registration fee.  The event is limited to 12 members/participants.

Field Day Saturday July 16th

Starting at 3pm, all ASC members and their families are invited to join us for an afternoon of traditional field day events – sack race, three-legged race, etc. (on the Trap fields), with prizes!   The horseshoe pit (near BBQ area), croquet area (Archery Practice Range), ladder ball (near BBQ area), and corn-hole sets (Grassy area adjacent to Trap #1) will be available for use throughout the afternoon, and into the evening!  Kids can use sidewalk chalk in a roped off area in the parking lot, and some art supplies can be set up on the outdoor archery range bench and/or inside the clubhouse. If it rains most of the events will be moved to the Indoor Archery Building.

Frank and his BBQ crew will be serving hamburgers, hot dogs, with all the fixings, (4:30pm to 5:00pm). We will have a s’mores station set up at the fire pit (All Day).

We encourage everyone to bring lawn chairs, and/or blankets so you can choose an area to watch the races, enjoy the BBQ, s’mores, and fire pits, and also to meet other members.

Please join us for some summer fun with fellow club members and their families!

Volunteers are always welcome to help with:

  • setup & clean-up
  • trap field races
  • crafts area
