The Baba Yaga Blowout is a timed/scored event with three shooting phases... Pistol, Rifle, and Rifle/Pistol. Participants must use their own firearms, ammunition, hearing and eye protection. The Club will provide Range Safety Officers. This is a timed/scored event which must be completed in 3 minutes. Participants will shoot from a standing, unsupported position forward of the firing line and from 3 different stations:
- Station 1 - Pistol: Competitor has to score stacked hits on each of the 5 steel targets at a distance of 25 yards. Each magazine will have 5 rounds therefore a magazine change will be required.
- Station 2 - Rifle: Competitor has to score hits from behind a barrier onto a single steel target at a distance of 50 yards.
- Station 3 - Rifle/Pistol: Competitor has to score 10 rifle hits and 10 pistol hits onto a single IPSC target located at 25 yards. Each magazine will have 5 rounds therefore magazine changes will be required.
- Failure to complete all stages, or exceed the total time will result in a disqualification.
- Scoring is based on successful completion of ALL rounds, cumulative score on the IPSC target, and total elapsed time will be used in the event of a tie.
- Participants are required to use proper/safe shooting techniques and firearms management.
- There is no registration fee. The event is limited to 12 members/participants.
