ASC Arcade - Rifle Range Event

"ASC Arcade"
October 29, 2022 from 9:00am - 12:00pm
Outdoor Rifle Range

Register here:  RSVP

The ASC Arcade is a scored/timed pistol event with three shooting stations: Dueling Trees, Battleship Target, & Swinging IPSC Target  Participants must use their own firearms, ammunition, hearing and eye protection.  The Club will provide Range Safety Officers. All 3 stations must be completed in 3 minutes. Participants will shoot from a standing, unsupported position forward of the firing line and from 3 different stations:

 Station 1: 2 dueling trees set at a distance of 6 yards from firing line. Each participant has 20 rounds to turn all paddles from red to green.

 Station 2: 1 swinging target set at a distance of 4 yards from firing line. Each participant has 30 seconds to score as many hits as possible on a swinging cardboard IPSC target.

 Station 3 : 1 battleship target set at a distance of 2 yards from the firing line. Each participant will score points only when they completely “sink” the various ships. i.e. If a ship has 3 orange dots, then all 3 dots must be hit in order to claim 3 points for the sinking.

Failure to complete all stages, or exceed the total time will result in a disqualification. Scoring is based on successful completion of ALL rounds, cumulative score on the IPSC target, and total elapsed time will be used in the event of  a tie. Participants are required to use proper/safe shooting techniques and firearms management.  There is no registration fee.  The event is limited to 15 members/participants.

Cancellation/No-show Policy:  If you sign up and then decide not to attend, you must go back to the EventBrite site and cancel your registration at least 5 days prior to the event date. Instructional/Beginner's Trap

Beginner Instructional Trap from 5:30pm till 8pm Monday nights!  - See Calender *

This slower paced class is intended for less experienced trap shooters who have taken our “Intro to Trap”, or our “Intro to Shotgun” class or have experience with their own shotgun but may feel overwhelmed by the fast pace or the mass crowds of the regular trap days.  In this class, you will shoot full rounds of trap (25 targets) just like on regular days, but at a pace where you can focus more on proper shooting techniques without worrying if you are “holding up the line.” You will be observed and instructed by a NRA Certified Shotgun Instructor and Coache.

THIS CLASS IS NOT FOR EXPERIENCED SHOOTERS LOOKING FOR ANOTHER NIGHT OF TRAP!!!

How it works:

  • There is no eventbrite sign-up - Just show-up to the trap field
  • You do not have to attend all dates
  • On your first night, you will be given a short class, then you will shoot.  On later dates you will just shoot and other students who are there for their first night will take the class.
  • Student must provide their own shotgun and ammunition. [Each box of ammo is 1 round of trap(25)].
  • Recommended shotshell size: 2 1/2 Dram(1145 fps.) – 1 1/8oz loads of #8 shot
  • The class is free, however, there is a $3 fee for the targets.
  • The class is secheduled for six weeks, however, it may continue longer dependant upon interest to do so.

Email with questions and hope to see you on the trap field!
