Beginner Archery Instruction for Youth and Adults
Submitted by asc-admin on May 14, 2021 - 8:48am
We will be offering beginner archery instruction for both youth and adults on Sunday June 6th. There will be two sessions, one for adults and one for youth, each lasting 2 hours.
Adults – 9am – 11am (ages 15 and up)
Youth – 12noon – 2pm (ages 8-15)
Each session will consist of the following:
• Range safety
• Basic equipment explanations – Bow types, Bow and Arrow components
• Proper handling of equipment
• Introduction to the USA Archery steps of shooting
• Developing the proper shooting form
For those of you with your own equipment please bring it. The club will supply equipment for those who do not have their own.
Each session will have a maximum of 10 participants as this is the number of lanes in the indoor range.
These sessions will be conducted by ASC members Jorge Kluchnik and Jim Stevens, both USA Archery Level III Coaches and Alex Kluchnik, USA Archery Level II Instructor.
Please e-mail Jim at jdstevens1@comcast.net if you wish to sign up. Participation will be on a first come, first served basis.
The Indoor Archery Facility will be used exclusively for this training program.
