red light Green Light Competition - Rifle Range closed

This is both an individual and team, multi-phased pistol event using dueling trees with alternating green & red paddles.

About this event

-         Rules:

All shooting will be from the firing line in a free-standing position
4 dueling trees with alternating green & red paddles will be set at 25-feet from the firing line
2 teams (one green & one red) will be assembled with 20 members per team
Two phases - Individual & Team:

Individual phase: 60 seconds to turn all paddles to your team's color
Team phase: 1 Green team member squares off against 1 Red team member. The object is to turn as many paddles on both dueling trees to your teams color in 60 seconds

The process will repeat until all team members have had the chance to shoot.
Shooters should expect to use a minimum of 100 rounds
If there is a tie then a shootout will be held
Upon completion of each stage:

• a range “Clear” will be called
• Pistols will be secured
• Targets will be reset, if necessary.

Members will provide their own pistol, magazines, ammunition, hearing and eye protection
No alibi’s for firearm malfunctions
Immediate disqualification for unsafe firearms technique
9mm minimum caliber
No restriction on type of pistol sights
Magazines must be preloaded in a designated firearms-free staging area

-         Scoring & Prizes:

1st Round Individual Scoring is based on individual scores and best times:
2nd Round Team Scoring is based on cumulative team hits and times
Prizes are based on the 1st Round Individual scores (most hits in the shortest period of time).
