Announcing the Social Committee

Time to announce the formation of a new Social Committee that has been formed to provide opportunities for the membership to meet in social situations. We have approximately 1500+ members, but very few actually participate in Club activities. So this is the opportunity for you to suggest events that might be of interest to you. Some of the events would be for members only, while others would be open to guests. And, there will certainly be events specifically for the family.

Some of the events that we have already begun to develop:

  • A visit to tour Smith & Wesson in Springfield (offsite)
  • Lowell Spinners Game (offsite)
  • Theme dinners @ the Club, i.e., Italian night; St Patrick's Day; 4th of July, etc.
  • Wine tasting
  • Social Project - work with a church/school/family to provide help they need
  • For the kids (young and old) - Laser Tag or Paint Ball (offsite)
  • Chili (or any other item) cook off
  • Ice Cream Social

Now, it's time for you to add to the list. Please send me an email to asc_dhook@verizon.net, letting us know that you would like to participate and provide any ideas to the Committee. Please be sure to include your name. Thanks very much, and we look forward to seeing you at the Club.
