The Nominating Period for Officers for 2026 is Open

The positions of President/Vice President, Treasurer and Secretary are elected annually at the December Member’s meeting.

If you wish to contribute to the management of the Andover Sportsmen’s Club, Inc. elections for 1-year terms of the four positions, e.g. President, Vice President, Treasurer and Secretary will be held at the December Member’s Meeting.   To qualify for nomination:

• A nominee must be a member in good standing for a minimum of 12 months prior to nomination.​
• All nominations must be submitted in writing to a member of the Nominating Committee prior to the convening of the November Membership meeting.
• The Offices of President and Vice President are nominated, and will be voted on as a single unit.   Any person standing for the election to the position of President must include in his or her written submission a statement of his or her expertise/working knowledge of Parliamentary procedures as set forth in Roberts Rules of Order for that position.
• Any person standing for the election to the position of Treasurer, must include in his or her written submission a statement of his or her qualifications for that position.
• No member can stand for election to more than one Officer Position.

Time-Line

September 4th - At the Board of Directors meeting in September, the President shall appoint a nominating committee of three members.

September 11th to November 13th  -  Qualified Nominees submit a written statement for one of the Officer positions as required by the Club Bylaws.

November 13th – Nominations shall be closed and presented to the President by the Chairman of the Nominating Committee at the regular Member’s meeting in November.

December 11th - Elections occur and the elected officers are sworn in by the Chairman of the Nominating Committee.

January 1st 2026. Elected Officers will take office.
