Re-opening Plan Rule

Dear Members:

The Board of Directors has recently voted to replace, effective today, the Re-Opening Plan Rule established on May 15th and amended June 22. Specifically, it is recommended, but not required, that members: (1) continue to practice social distancing, (2) routinely wash their hands and (3) use personal judgment for the wearing of face coverings.

Members are responsible for their own actions as well as the action of their guests. The virus policy enacted on March 11 remains in full force and effect. Members are responsible to be aware of everyone around them for the safe handling of firearms, bows and conduct concerning COVID-19. As such some people may be A-symptomatic of COVID-19 whereby we must recommend that safe distancing, hygiene and mask protection be used. As a Member, if you feel a situation is dangerous, you leave or you ask the offending member to change or if the situation is deemed significant, you file a report.

As no negative repercussions have occurred regarding guests since the club reopened, approximately two months ago this vote also eliminates the restriction that the club not be open to the public or guests.

Richard A. Reichter, President

2020 Club Fireworks

On behalf of all club members, many, many thanks to Brad Reichter for organizing the truly extraordinary July 3rd fireworks display and his staff of Dan Croteau,,Brake Croteau, Tim Gallant and Kathy Gallant who assisted in making the event a success.  The event made for a nice evening distraction  welcomed by all as a bit of relief from the depressing COVID-19 pressurs.

Putting on such as event was not a simple thing to do in as much as we were required to engange in discussions with local Fre Prevention and the state Fire Marshall as well as the Police department, Board of Health the the pyrogechnic vendor.

The actual display was unusually creative to the delight of the children  especially as they had been disapointed when learning that so many community fireworks displays had to be cancelled.

Next year we hope to have fireworks again, with a cookout, events and games.

Respect for Members' Well-Being

 (Virus Policy)

March 13, 2020

To all ASC members:

Until further notice please be advised that anyone exhibiting symptoms including coughing, sneezing, shortness of breath or fever should not be present on the club’s property. Wearing a protective mask does not create an acceptable exclusion to this policy.

When dealing with health issues we must always err on the side of conservatism even if someone should be temporarily inconvenienced. That being said we should try to neutralize any over-zealous accusations as quickly as possible.

Therefore, if any member notices another member and/or guest not honoring this policy the concerned member should politely suggest that he/she/they voluntarily leave the club premises. The concerned member making that suggestion should not try to force the issue or take any additional overt action.

However, If said member and/or guest does not accept the suggestion that it would be best if they exited the club’s property, the concerned member should immediately report the facts to any Director. The Director contacted should do whatever is required in order to make a judgment regarding the efficacy of the complaint.

I trust every member will understand the necessity for this policy and will contribute their unqualified cooperation.

With all due respect.

Thank you.

Richard Reichter

President
