Restructuring of RSO Program

We are announcing the restructuring of the Range Safety Officer Program.

The Andover Sportsmen's Club has always and will continue to pride itself in the fact that membership polices itself and maintains a safe environment for the enjoyment of the shooting sports. This will not change. However, the current RSO program will be replaced, effective March 26th 2016. The new RSO program provides the opportunity for members to become certified Range Safety Officers. Those interested in serving as a Range Safety Officer for ASC will need to enroll in and complete the NRA Range Safety Officer training program.

We have arranged for an RSO training to be held at ASC on March, 26th, 2016. This will be a full 8 hour class resulting in NRA certification as a Range Safety Officer for all those that complete the class. PLEASE NOTE: you will need to register and pay for the NRA RSO Training Program. Spaces will be limited to 25 people. If I have enough interest, I will run the course a second time. See the training tab on ASC's website for further instruction on how to register.

At this time, I ask that you please remove the orange RSO cards and/or stickers from your ASC lanyard and ID tags. These are no longer valid and will no longer be displayed.

We ask for your continued support in keeping ASC a safe and enjoyable place to shoot. If you witness someone being unsafe, offer to help, provide a reminder of the rules and above all, avoid confrontation. Please remember that any violation of the club's rules or injury (including improper use/accidental use of a firearm or bow) must be immediately reported by either the responsible member or any person having observed the event. Security violations can be reported by submitting the electronic form found on the site.

Feel free to send questions, comments or suggestions to training@andoversportsmensclub.org

Private Storage Lockers

For your convenience, the Club offers storage lockers, which can be used to store practically anything, except of course firearms.  The lockers measure 12”W x 12”H x 18”D.  The lockers are rented annually at a cost of $25.  At the moment, approximately 75% of the lockers are rented; leaving  #6, 18, 21, 22, 23, and 24 available.  If you have an interest in one of these lockers, please send an email message to the Treasurer (Treasurer@AndoverSportsmensClub.org) with the desired locker number.
