2014 Fall Work Party

We will be having our Fall Work Party on October 11th!

Breakfast is from 7:30am to 8:30am (free), work starts at 8:30am, we break for lunch at noon (also free), we finish up jobs after lunch and are generally done by 4pm. All ranges are closed until 4pm.

There will be eight $25 drawings at lunch awarded to those in attendance.

People are needed for all typical work party projects, including:

  • Cleaning kitchen
  • Cleaning windows
  • Field clean up at outdoor range
  • Field clean up at Trap range including hanging nets, picking up "whole" clays, etc.
  • Path clean up at Archery
  • Use of club backpack blower to clean walkways, drive, etc.
  • Power washing: parking lot stains, concrete stains, kitchen exhaust ducts, etc.
  • Wood cutting, splitting, stacking
  • Envelope stuffing & stamping for 2015 Dues Mailing
  • Your insight, advice, suggestions are welcomed even if you don't want to do some of the heavy "lifting"

Tools needed:

  • Power washing equipment (ideally gasoline powered)
  • Containers of gasoline
  • Rakes, shovels, brooms, leaf blowers
  • Any other useful tools

75 Bird Trap Shoot

On Saturday, September 20th at 9am, we will be hosting a 75-bird trap shoot. The cost for entry is $10.

Presentation and Q&A on the Changes From H.4376

Comm2A, a 501(c)(3) organization in MA dedicated to using the federal courts to win back access to Second Amendment rights, has put together a primer for gun owners (http://www.comm2a.org/images/PDFs/h_4376_explained.pdf) on what has changed for gun owners with the passage of the H.4376 bill passed in August 2014.

They will also be at the September member's meeting (Sept. 11th) to go over the changes and a Q&A session.

Youth Badge Enforcement Begins August 1st

Beginning August 1st, 2014, the club will begin to enforce the youth badge rule. This rule requires all youths under the age of 18 to display a club issued youth badge when on any firearm range.

New Member Orientations

If you have been voted in as a member, but have not yet completed a range orientation (and therefore not yet received your packet and keycard), Al Croteau will be available on Wednesdays at 3pm and 7pm to give orientations.
