Middleton Road was closed today without our having received any advance notice.

The reason is laudible involving the badly needed road resurfacing. As soon as we have reliable information regarding the length of time the road will be closed we will post that here on the website, as well as a notice when the road is officially reopened.

In the meantime, inasmuch as access must be available to residents (and ASC is a resident), they may allow you access. It also appears as the work crew finishes around 3:00pm and although posted with no-one on site I was able to get access a short while ago (3:55pm June 13th). No guarantees but these efforts may be worth a try.

Finally, it is likely if you do try to gain access that you will have an easier time if you do so from the Jenkins Road direction.

The primary message I wish to express in this report is that of offering to all ASC members the best wishes from your Board of Directors for a safe and enjoyable summer holiday.

As customary, there will not be regular membership meetings, nor will there be regular monthly website posting of each Director’s activities, during the months of July and August.

However, there will be special membership meetings in both July and August. A reminder notice of those meeting will be posted prior to each special meeting and notices of important events will be posted on the website as required

I encourage members to attend the pre summer June 8th , 2017 membership meeting when we will have a special speaker (see Community Relations Report for details) and we will be awarding student scholarships.

I also encourage all members to review the Community Relations report which mentions a number of community initiatives that will take place during the months following the summer holiday break.

Your volunteering a small amount of your time needed to make those initiatives a success is absolutely required

The archery shoot scheduled for this upcoming Saturday, May 27th has been postponed until further notice.

I am pleased to advise you, my fellow members, that Erik Anderson has agreed to accept the position as Director: ASC Trap operations with immediate effect. I know that all of you will wish Erik well in his new undertaking.
